FILLET OF THE DAY: “The Dream” by Thee Oh Sees
I chose a track off TOS’s 2011 album, Carrion Crawler/ The Dream, for today’s fillet because not only does it sound like what the soundtrack to Beach Blanket Bingo should have sounded, but it also proves that rock ‘n’ roll will, should, and can sound weird and dangerous and be something you can shake it to. Which hasn’t sounding dangerous and unusual been TOS’s plan all along? When it’s appropriate, I’ll tell you all an edited version of John Dwyer and I’s tussle with mistaken identity-when it’s appropriate.
